Class 1

Hello Class 1 Full-time and End of the Week Children and Parents,

Home Learning will look a little different to the Home Learning that you received when the school was in Lockdown. Over this period of isolation/ bubble closure we are providing you with an Early Years Activity booklet which is full of activity ideas that are similar to the types of activities we would be doing in school during ‘topic’ time. Please access this booklet at your leisure and send through any observations of the activities you have completed using the Evidence Me app.

Phonics and Maths work will also be provided in the form of an activity booklet/ home learning challenge sheets. Please support your child to complete at least 1 phonics sheet and 1 maths sheet per day. Please send observations of your child’s completed worksheets/ challenges via the Evidence Me app.

We will endeavour to assess your child’s observations within 24 hours however this may be tricky on some days due to our current staffing levels in school. We appreciate your support and are working hard to deliver the best education to your child under the current circumstances.

Children and Parents who are new to us may not have the Evidence Me app - if this is the case, please keep a paper copy of your child's work (if appropriate) and we will assess when they return to school.

Paper copies of the Phonics and Maths activities will be available to pick up from the academy from Monday afternoon (15.03.21)

We look forward to welcoming you all back in school on Tuesday 23rd March (Full time children), Wednesday 24th March (End of the Week children).

If you are isolating at home as an independent case then please access the links above. Play forms the foundations of your child's learning in school and therefore it is essential that this type of learning continues at home, however the links above will give you fresh ideas that are closely linked to the types of activities your child would be accessing if they were in school.

Early Years Class Bubble Isolation

If we go into a class bubble isolation I will post activities here for you to complete at home. You will then be required to send photographs of the completed activities/ your child taking part in the activities via the Evidence Me app. This will enable me to assess your child's work and will form part of their Early Years Profile.
