MondayRead book from Academy Reading Scheme (make sure reading record is signed) (5-10 minuets). Learn weekly spellings for test on Friday (5-10 minuets). Times tables practise (5-10 minutes). English and Maths homework is marked on Mondays.
TuesdayRead book from Academy Reading Scheme (make sure reading record is signed) (5-10 minuets). Learn weekly spellings for test on Friday (5-10 minuets). Times tables practise (5-10 minutes).
WednesdayRead book from Academy Reading Scheme (make sure reading record is signed) (5-10 minuets). Learn weekly spellings for test on Friday (5-10 minuets). Times tables practise (5-10 minutes).
ThursdayRead book from Academy Reading Scheme (make sure reading record is signed) (5-10 minuets). Learn weekly spellings for test on Friday (5-10 minuets). Times tables practise (5-10 minutes).
FridayEnglish activities in the CGP ‘KS2 English: Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling’ book will be set on Fridays (hand in on Monday). Maths activities in the CGP ‘KS2 Maths’ book will be set on Fridays (hand in on Mondays). Read book from academy reading scheme (make sure reading record is signed) (5-10 minutes). Weekly spelling test. New spellings will be handed out on Fridays for the following week. Learn weekly spellings (5-10 minutes). Learn times tables (5-10 minutes).
  • English and Maths homework – Please note, all children will have an English and Maths homework record worksheet in their homework books where they record their homework each week.
  • Please try to hear your child read as often as possible throughout the week (at least 3 times) and record the date and number of pages read in the reading record.
  • Spelling tests will take place every Friday.
  • Times tables practise will take place during Maths every Monday, Wednesday and Friday using the Times Tables Rock Stars scheme.
